The reason this model works so well is that clients can simply reach out to you via email whenever they need support, and you get back to them in a timely manner with a video reply. They love this!
I came up with this model when I had a client who had a full-time sales job, and he was trying to figure out how to also be a full-time coach (or at least a part-time coach), and he was on the road a lot. He was traveling one and two hours at a time – sometimes more…
And he told me, “I don’t have a lot of time to coach…my time is so precious.”
So what I recommended to him was that he tell clients that if they want to pay a little less money for his one-on-one coaching, they can – as long as he can do the coaching calls while he’s on the road, while he’s driving.
What I learned from that, is that if we can figure out a way to coach people at a time and in an environment that works for us, that makes it easier on us to deliver the coaching – and also can be a reason to bring down the price or to have a downsell.
And this topic recently came out in a conversation with a client. He and I were talking and I told him how I really like to spend my time…and it’s not by filling up my calendar with phone appointments – that actually is really hard for me.
I realized that rather than having lots of phone appointments, I’d rather simply email people and help them with their stuff.
But email itself sometimes doesn’t feel very valuable. But I realized that lately I’d been making videos for people and I really enjoyed that. That’s how this model was born.
